Music has many benefits; it contributes to creativity, self-esteem, and self-discipline. Our philosophy here at The Gig Stop is to provide the best learning environment available, and to enable our students to capitalize on all the benefits music education has to offer no matter what their ability level. All lessons are taught for thirty minutes once a week, one on one. These lessons were designed to increase your skill and practical application of music. All lessons are individually tailored according to your goals and abilities. All teachers are well qualified and can teach all levels of students.

We have four convenient payment plans available for all instrument lessons.

Payment options are:
* Weekly $25.00 Cash only per lesson.
* Monthly Payment Depending on number of days in month scheduled @ $20.00 per lesson = ($80.00, $100.00).
Monthly lesson payments are to be paid on the first lesson of the calendar month.
* Quarterly Payment of $216.00 (12 lessons @ $18.00 per lesson = $216.00).
* Yearly Payment of $792.00 (48 lessons @ $16.50 per lesson = $792.00).
* All checks are made to the appropriate teachers.
* Credit & Debit cards are not accepted for lesson payments.

Other Conditions:
* A registration charge of $10.00 will be used for placement and initial administration of your account. This is a non-refundable charge. Once enrolled in our lesson program you are required to attend your lesson on a weekly basis unless the store is closed, or your teacher is not in attendance. Students are required to provide all lesson materials (i.e. books, instrument, etc.). Student payments and charges must follow all guidelines under this policy. All materials are available or can be ordered if required. This is considered a commitment, and must be respected as such. The teachers are professionals, and
they are paid on a per lesson basis. Student cancellations, rescheduling, holidays, inclement weather closings, and personal days affect their income directly so please respect the policy. Please be on time, your instructor will not be obligated to continue beyond your scheduled lesson time.
* Proper cancellation. 6 hours notice is required for a proper cancellation. The lesson will be considered "missed" if no notification is received. A missed lesson is subject to a charge of 1 lesson depending on your current payment plan. We have an answering machine with date/time code if you call us before or after business hours. Leave us your name, the name of your teacher, when your appointment is, and if you need to reschedule. If you cancel 3 or more times within 5 consecutive weeks you will lose your scheduled lesson time unless previous arrangements are made with store management.
* Personal days. A total of 3 personal days can be used between the dates of September 1st through May 31st without incurring a lesson charge if proper cancellation notice is given. You can cancel 1 lesson a month from June 1st through August 31st without incurring a charge if proper cancellation notice is given. NOTIFICATION IS REQUIRED for any cancellation. If your teacher cancels we will call you as soon as possible to alert you. You will not be charged for holidays that the store is closed, teacher cancellations, or store cancellations due to inclement weather and these lessons are not considered "missed". Store recognized holidays and store closures are posted with special conditions that can extend the number of cancellations without charge. Only 1 cancellation per month is permitted. Extra cancellations will be charged per lesson even if proper cancellation notice is given. Please see store for details.
* The Gig Stop Holiday List. A list of holidays, and vacation weeks are provided online and at the store. There are two classes of holidays; holidays that the store is open, and when the store is closed. You may take the day off on denoted holidays that the store is open without incurring a charge, and without deducting one of your personal days. Cancellation for all holidays that The Gig Stop is open must be announced to the lesson administrator two or more days before that lesson or it will be considered missed and you will be charged for one lesson.
* Rescheduling. Depending on the instructor's availability, suitable cancellations can be rescheduled. In case of inclement weather you are required to call the store to see if your lesson will be held. Only 1 rescheduled lesson per calendar month is permitted without charge. Rescheduling notice of at least 6 hours previous to your scheduled lesson time is required.
* Reschedule fee of $4.00. More than one rescheduled lesson per calendar month will result in a reschedule fee of $4.00 per incident. Exceptions for this fee are: Teacher cancellations, weather, store closure, lesson time allocation by store, and holidays. If you reschedule and fail to make your rescheduled time,
you will be charge both for that week's lesson and the $4.00 rescheduling fee, whether it is the first one in that calendar month or not.
* Late payment fee(s) of $4.00. You will be charged a late payment fee(s) of $4.00 cash per week if you do not pay for the lesson when payment is due.
Your scheduled lesson time & payment policy will remain in effect unless you stop them. 3 weeks of non-payment will automatically terminate your lessons and you will be charged for all late fees and payments due.
* 48 hours notification for termination. To discontinue lessons you must notify The Gig Stop at least 48 hours of your scheduled lesson time or you will be charged for 1 lesson depending on your current lesson payment plan. If no indication is given, then the default of 3 "missed" lessons will be charged as well as any outstanding payments and you will be terminated automatically from the schedule.
* Lesson disqualification. You understand that The Gig Stop may determine if the policy and/or employees are being mistreated by the student and/or guardian, and has the right disqualify you as a student. All fees for lessons and services according to this policy will be charged if determined disqualified.
