The Gig Stop is closing its' doors after 17 years
It is with a sad and heavy heart that I have to announce the closing of The Gig Stop. The Gig Stop was founded in 1991. Since then we have had a desire to share the joy of making music as well as offering the community a great resource of fine musical products and services at great prices. The changes in the music retail industry are making it harder to sustain the level of business satisfaction we strive for. This along with the need to spend more time with my family has pushed us into this decision. We will be closing the doors on December 31, 2008. We are selling our remaining inventory at a percentage discount starting at 10% on November 1st, with a percentage point off everyday we're open until the last day open at 63% off. Lessons and service programs will continue under new ownership, and we will be making an announcement about that shortly.
First, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers. You were the hardest part of this decision. You've supported us through all types of economic environments. Next, we would like to thank our staff. We have always provided well trained and devoted teachers, service and sales personnel. We are pleased that they will be continuing their dedication to satisfying customers. They are what made "The Gig Stop" a success. Lastly, we would like to thank the community as a whole. We are grateful for the business friends we have made over the years. We wish all of you well and ask the community to continue their support of local businesses.
